National Auto Defect Law Firm Bisnar Chase Joins Lawsuit Against Toyota in Fatal 4Runner Rollover Accident
(PRWEB) March 19, 2008 -- The national automobile defect law firm Bisnar Chase is assisting the attorney for Karen Guevara and Juan Jose and Marcia Arreola in their suit against Toyota Motor Company. The Arreolas are suing Toyota for the wrongful death of their son, Jonathan, who was involved in a Toyota 4Runner rollover accident. Guevara was a passenger in the vehicle and sustained a serious brain injury. The trial began Monday, March 10, in the California Superior Court, Orange County before Judge David Chaffee, Case #06CC09981. Bisnar Chase is serving as co-counsel with Jeffrey P. Foote, attorney for Guevara and the Arreolas.
On December 19, 2003, 19 year-old Jonathan Arreola was driving his 2000 Toyota 4Runner on Seal Beach Boulevard near Bolsa Avenue in Seal Beach, Calif. Guevara was a passenger. Jonathan lost control of the SUV and it rolled over, causing him fatal injuries and serious injuries to Guevara.
According to the lawsuit, Toyota knew the 4Runner had a tendency to rollover and could not protect passengers in an accident. The Arreolas are suing Toyota for the wrongful death of their son, Jonathan, and are asking for medical, funeral and burial expenses and punitive damages. Guevara is seeking compensation for her medical expenses, financial losses, pain & suffering as well as punitive damages, according to court documents.
"How many people must die, how many people must be permanently injured, before car manufacturers like Toyota invest just a little of their resources to make safer vehicles?" asks John Bisnar, founder and partner at Bisnar Chase. "Just a few dollars invested to make a more stable, crash-worthy Toyota 4Runner would have saved the Arreolas the immeasurable pain and suffering of losing their son and saved Karen Guevara a serious brain injury."
